Scott is originally from Youngstown, Ohio and a graduate of Hubbard High School where he competed on the high school golf team. He was just 15 years old when he shot his first round in the 60s.
Scott went on to play collegiately at Youngstown State University on a golf scholarship and earned All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in 1987. He has a degree in Business Administration.
His PGA membership was earned in 1996 and just celebrated being a Quarter Century member in 2021.
Professional playing accomplishments include:
Qualified for the Ben Hogan Tour Cleveland Open in 1991 (now Korn Ferry Tour)
Top 20 Ohio Open finish in 1997 – (70-71-67)
Northern Ohio PGA Ohio Cup team member (top 10 player of the year list) in 2000
Qualified for the National PGA Professional Championship in 2004
Three professional tournament wins
Three hole-in-ones, two in tournament competition
Career low round – 60
Scott pursued Old Avalon for many years and earned the management agreement in 2019. He is currently in his 6th year of his golf course revitalization plan as Owner/Managing Member of M2 Golf Management, LLC. Scott recently signed a new 5-year agreement with the city of Warren at the end of 2023.
