Play Policies and Etiquette
-
Each player must register to play and have a receipt for our starter.
-
PLEASE repair ball marks on greens, replace divots, and rake bunkers.
-
PLEASE return golf carts to paths around all tees and greens.
-
Allow faster players to play through and encourage “ready golf” to speed up play.
The original par 3 hole #5 will open in 2024. The renovation of the bunker on hole #7, mounding in the front right of the green on hole #6, and the restoration of the right bunker on the par 3 16th will be completed in 2024 as well.
Weekend/Holiday Tee Time No-Show/Cancellation Policy
-
Players will be notified on the first occurrence who do not show for their scheduled tee time on weekends/holidays.
-
A credit card will be required at the time of booking for any subsequent tee times. If a group does not show again, $10 will be charged for 9 holes and $20 for 18 holes for each player.
-
A no-show due to extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms will not count towards our no-show policy.
Tree trimming on the back 9 to open up shots from the tee and into the greens on holes #15, #17, and #18 will continue in spring/summer 2024.
We will resume clearing the ditch on holes #7 and #8 to help with drainage and overall appearance.
Dead pine tree removal is almost complete.
We kindly prefer you purchase all food and drinks here at the golf course. Alcohol consumed on course property must be purchased at Old Avalon according to Ohio liquor control laws.
Golf Cart and Course Liability Policy
-
PLEASE respect any daily cart rules to protect the course from turf damage.
-
Cart drivers must be 16 years of age with a driver’s license.
-
Players renting a motorized golf cart accept financial responsibility and liability for any damage incurred to the vehicle, loss of services, golf course property, and bodily injury to others.
-
A person causing property damage or bodily injury to another person is liable. Golf is at your own risk.
