Play Policies and Etiquette
-
Each player must register to play and have a receipt for our starter.
-
PLEASE repair ball marks on greens, replace divots, and rake bunkers.
-
PLEASE return golf carts to paths around all tees and greens.
-
Allow faster players to play through and encourage “ready golf” to speed up play.
Tree trimming will be completed on the back 9 in January of 2025. Holes #11, #15, #17, and #18 will be completed.
Cart path improvements will be completed in the spring of 2025.
The upgrade to our irrigation system will continue in the spring of 2025. When completed, we will be able to water tees and fairways once again. This hasn’t been available for many years because of the system falling into disrepair.
The original par 3 hole #5 will open in 2024.
New mounding at the front right of the green on hole #6 will be completed in 2024 along with the renovation of the bunker on hole #7.
Weekend/Holiday Tee Time No-Show/Cancellation Policy
-
Players will be notified on their first occurrence of a “no-show” for their scheduled weekend/holiday tee time.
-
A credit card will be required at the time of booking for any subsequent tee times. If a group does not show again, $10 will be charged for 9 holes and $20 for 18 holes for each player.
-
A no-show due to extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms will not count towards our no-show policy.
Tree trimming on the back 9 to open up shots from the tee and into the greens on holes #15, #17, and #18 will continue in the winter of 2025.
We will resume clearing the ditch on holes #7 and #8 to help with drainage and overall appearance.
Dead pine tree removal is almost complete.
We kindly prefer you purchase all food and drinks here at the golf course. Alcohol consumed on course property must be purchased at Old Avalon according to Ohio liquor control laws.
