Course Improvements

Play Policies and Etiquette

  • Each player must register to play and have a receipt for our starter.

  • PLEASE repair ball marks on greens, replace divots, and rake bunkers.

  • PLEASE return golf carts to paths around all tees and greens.

  • Allow faster players to play through and encourage “ready golf” to speed up play.

The upgrade to our irrigation system continues this year.  When completed, we will be able to water tees and fairways once again.  This hasn’t been available for many years because of the system falling into disrepair.

Tree trimming was completed in January 2025 on holes #11, #15, #17, and #18.

Cart path improvements were completed in September 2025.

The original par 3 hole #5 is open again for play after the front bunker was redesigned.

New mounding at the front right of the green on hole #6 was completed in 2024 along with the renovation of the bunker on hole #7.

Weekend/Holiday Tee Time No-Show/Cancellation Policy

  • Players will be notified on their first occurrence of a “no-show” for their scheduled weekend/holiday tee time.

  • A credit card will be required at the time of booking for any subsequent tee times.  If a group does not show a second time, $10 will be charged for 9 holes and $20 for 18 holes for each player.

  • A no-show due to extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms will not count towards our no-show policy.

Golf Cart and Course Liability Policy

  • PLEASE respect any daily cart rules to protect the course from turf damage.

  • Cart drivers must have a learner’s permit or a driver’s license.

  • Players renting a motorized golf cart accept financial responsibility and liability for any damage incurred to the vehicle, loss of services, golf course property, and bodily injury to others.

  • A person causing property damage or bodily injury to another person is liable.  Golf is at your own risk.

We kindly prefer you purchase all food and drinks here at the golf course.  Alcohol consumed on course property must be purchased at Old Avalon according to Ohio liquor control laws.
